Report: Arcola School District spent $11,534 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Arcola Community Unified School District 306 was up 29.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Douglas County school district spent $8,911 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,534 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 744 to 698 students over the same period.

Arcola's spending in 2019-20 was 20.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
