Economically disadvantaged students at Bessemer Area School District scored 895 on average in the 2017-2018 academic year on the SAT exam, a worse result than the average for all students in the district, according to the Michigan Department of Education's 2018 Michigan Merit Examination (MME) reports.

Statewide, economically disadvantaged students scored 912.3 on average in the 2017-2018 academic year.
