More than 100-pieces of art from the 2020 DART Student Art Contest are on display through the end of August. It's part of Dallas Love Field’s Art Travelers Exhibition, which promotes diversity in visual arts as well as displays of culture to the traveling public. The showcase, which features original pieces from North Texas students in kindergarten through 12th grade, is located between security and baggage claim at Love Field.

Upper School Art Teacher Lindsey McCartin-Lane submitted 22 designs from Oakridge. The students created various themes for the contest, titled “Paint the Town ____________. Ride DART.” Olivia’s theme is “Paint the Town Glamorous. Ride DART.”

“This experience, overall, was really great for my students,” said Mrs. Lane. “They had the opportunity to learn about working with hard deadlines and requirements given from an organization, instead of just assignments given in the classroom.”
