GRAPEVINE COLLEYVILLE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT: Votes Tallied for November 2020 Trustee Election

Grapevine Colleyville Independent School District issued the following announcement.

Casey Ford was elected to Place 6 and Jorge Rodriguez was elected to Place 7 on the GCISD Board of Trustees by a majority vote in the November 3, 2020 Election with 100 percent of precincts reporting, according to unofficial results posted by Tarrant County Elections Administration on Wednesday morning.

Additionally, no candidate has secured the necessary majority in order to secure Place 5 on the GCISD Board of Trustees. This will necessitate a runoff election between Coley Canter and Tommy Snyder to be held on December 8, 2020. Additional details, including early voting dates and locations and election day times and locations, will be shared in the coming days. On November 15, 1999 the GCISD Board of Trustees passed a resolution requiring a candidate to receive a majority of the votes cast for a position, and provides for a runoff election to be held if no candidate for a position receives a majority of votes cast for that position.

In the election for Place 5, Coley Canter received 13,293 votes (38.25%), Tommy Snyder received 10,774 votes (31.00%) and Lori Crenshaw received 10,689 votes (30.75%). In the election for Place 6, Casey Ford received 20,530 votes (60.09%) while his opponent, Doug Noell, received 13,637 votes (39.91%). In the election for Place 7, Jorge Rodriguez received 18,102 votes (52.74%), while his opponent, Cacy Tischer, received 16,220 votes (47.26%)

Final results for Place 6 and Place 7 will be canvassed and newly elected trustees will be issued the oath of office and begin their new terms on GCISD's Board of Trustees at an upcoming Board meeting.
