Prosper Independent School District issued the following announcement.
Prosper ISD is seeking professionals interested in volunteering at this year’s Prosper Career Independent Study (PCIS) Virtual Symposium. PCIS is a program that provides opportunities for gifted and high-achieving juniors and seniors to pursue a field of study that relates to their future career. The symposium offers students an opportunity to refine their research topics, practice interview skills, build confidence in talking with professionals, and practice professional etiquette. We are seeking professionals from a wide range of fields such as: medical, the arts and education, law, community outreach and advocacy, business, engineering, fashion, and marketing. Please note, this list is not intended to be exhaustive and all professions are welcome.
Business professionals attending the symposium will be interviewed by small groups of PCIS students in two 30 minute sessions. No advance preparation is required. Your participation is critical in the success of this program. Please find further information about the symposium below:
Date: October 20th, 2020
Time: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
Venue: Virtual (Cisco WebEx Invite will be sent to interested professionals)
PCIS students may ask to share their resumes or request a follow up interview. Please use your discretion in deciding whether to maintain professional contact or to participate further in the students’ research.
