Report: Big Hollow School District spent $11,139 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Big Hollow School District 38 was up 15.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $9,680 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,139 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,790 to 1,785 students over the same period.

Big Hollow's spending in 2019-20 was 23.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
