Report: Sandoval School District spent $13,549 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Sandoval Community Unit School District 501 was up 44.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Marion County school district spent $9,381 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,549 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 485 to 477 students over the same period.

Sandoval's spending in 2019-20 was 6.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
