Report: Brownstown School District spent $10,348 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Brownstown Community Unit School District 201 was up 5.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Fayette County school district spent $9,779 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,348 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 384 to 363 students over the same period.

Brownstown's spending in 2019-20 was 28.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
