Report: Grant School District spent $15,834 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Grant Community High School District 124 was up 27.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $12,455 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,834 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,912 to 1,773 students over the same period.

Grant's spending in 2019-20 was 9.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
