Report: Sunset Ridge School District spent $26,507 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Sunset Ridge School District 29 was up 8.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $24,485 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $26,507 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 477 to 467 students over the same period.

Sunset Ridge's spending in 2019-20 was 82.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
