Report: Nippersink School District spent $14,783 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Nippersink School District 2 was up 29.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $11,382 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,783 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,183 to 1,136 students over the same period.

Nippersink's spending in 2019-20 was 2 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
