Report: Sycamore School District spent $12,498 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Sycamore Community Unit School District 427 was up 2.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dekalb County school district spent $12,159 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,498 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,795 to 3,713 students over the same period.

Sycamore's spending in 2019-20 was 13.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
