Report: East Alton-Wood River School District spent $13,048 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at East Alton-Wood River Community High School District 14 was down 5.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Madison County school district spent $13,851 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,048 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 533 to 570 students over the same period.

East Alton-Wood River's spending in 2019-20 was 10 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
