Report: Gallatin County School District spent $10,082 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Gallatin County Community Unit School District 7 was up 13.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Gallatin County school district spent $8,877 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,082 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 781 to 705 students over the same period.

Gallatin County's spending in 2019-20 was 30.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
