Report: Northbrook School District spent $21,031 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Northbrook School District 28 was up 4.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $20,051 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $21,031 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,765 to 1,833 students over the same period.

Northbrook's spending in 2019-20 was 45.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
