Report: New Simpson Hill School District spent $9,878 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at New Simpson Hill School District 32 was up 2.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Johnson County school district spent $9,634 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,878 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 252 to 250 students over the same period.

New Simpson Hill's spending in 2019-20 was 31.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
