Report: Bureau Valley School District spent $12,252 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Bureau Valley Community Unit School District 340 was up 16.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Bureau County school district spent $10,527 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,252 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,098 to 1,051 students over the same period.

Bureau Valley's spending in 2019-20 was 15.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
