Report: Saunemin School District spent $18,348 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Saunemin Community Consolidated School District 438 was up 30.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Livingston County school district spent $14,085 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $18,348 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 125 to 112 students over the same period.

Saunemin's spending in 2019-20 was 26.6 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
