Report: Grand Prairie School District spent $11,824 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Grand Prairie Community Consolidated School District 6 was up 35.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Jefferson County school district spent $8,712 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,824 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 87 to 76 students over the same period.

Grand Prairie's spending in 2019-20 was 18.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
