Report: South Wilmington School District spent $11,708 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at South Wilmington Community Consolidated School District 74 was up 52.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Grundy County school district spent $7,691 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,708 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 105 to 77 students over the same period.

South Wilmington's spending in 2019-20 was 19.2 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
