Report: Skokie School District spent $16,497 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Skokie School District 68 was up 7.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $15,358 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,497 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,832 to 1,762 students over the same period.

Skokie's spending in 2019-20 was 13.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
