Report: Marquardt School District spent $19,564 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Marquardt School District 15 was up 35.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $14,466 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $19,564 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,663 to 2,413 students over the same period.

Marquardt's spending in 2019-20 was 35 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
