Report: McHenry School District spent $15,220 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at McHenry Community Consolidated School District 15 was up 20.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mchenry County school district spent $12,669 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,220 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 4,519 to 4,332 students over the same period.

McHenry's spending in 2019-20 was 5 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
