Report: Morrison School District spent $10,908 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Morrison Community Unit School District 6 was up 27.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Whiteside County school district spent $8,528 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,908 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,056 to 1,007 students over the same period.

Morrison's spending in 2019-20 was 24.7 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
