Report: Waverly School District spent $13,360 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Waverly Community Unit School District 6 was up 21.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Morgan County school district spent $11,001 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,360 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 374 to 362 students over the same period.

Waverly's spending in 2019-20 was 7.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
