Report: Westchester School District spent $12,788 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Westchester School District 92-5 was up 15.3 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $11,089 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,788 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,157 to 1,116 students over the same period.

Westchester's spending in 2019-20 was 11.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
