Report: Danville School District spent $15,126 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Danville Community Consolidated School District 118 was up 34.5 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Vermilion County school district spent $11,250 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,126 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 6,036 to 5,363 students over the same period.

Danville's spending in 2019-20 was 4.4 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
