Report: Mannheim School District spent $17,806 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Mannheim School District 83 was up 15.7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $15,394 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $17,806 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 2,742 to 2,651 students over the same period.

Mannheim's spending in 2019-20 was 22.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
