Report: Lake Forest School District spent $27,467 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Lake Forest Community High School District 115 was up 16.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $23,518 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $27,467 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,706 to 1,537 students over the same period.

Lake Forest's spending in 2019-20 was 89.5 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
