Spending per pupil at Community Consolidated School District 89 was up 2.1 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Dupage County school district spent $12,908 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $13,184 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 2,070 to 2,283 students over the same period.

Community Consolidated School District 89's spending in 2019-20 was 9 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
