Report: Cambridge School District spent $12,125 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Cambridge Community Unit School District 227 was up 30.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Henry County school district spent $9,285 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,125 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 506 to 468 students over the same period.

Cambridge's spending in 2019-20 was 16.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
