Report: Riverside School District spent $16,964 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Riverside School District 96 was up 29.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $13,058 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,964 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 1,681 to 1,722 students over the same period.

Riverside's spending in 2019-20 was 17.1 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
