Report: Havana School District spent $10,528 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Havana Community Unit School District 126 was up 11 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mason County school district spent $9,487 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,528 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,025 to 904 students over the same period.

Havana's spending in 2019-20 was 27.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
