Report: Round Lake School District spent $15,645 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Round Lake Community Unit School District 116 was up 26.8 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Lake County school district spent $12,334 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $15,645 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 7,297 to 6,637 students over the same period.

Round Lake's spending in 2019-20 was 8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
