Report: Heritage School District spent $14,014 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Heritage Community Unit School District 8 was up 13.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Champaign County school district spent $12,332 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,014 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 474 to 388 students over the same period.

Heritage's spending in 2019-20 was 3.3 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
