Report: Rich School District spent $22,560 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Rich Township High School District 227 was up 19.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $18,814 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $22,560 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 3,226 to 2,667 students over the same period.

Rich's spending in 2019-20 was 55.7 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
