Report: Central School District spent $12,595 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Central Community Unit School District 301 was up 5.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Kane County school district spent $11,924 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,595 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 3,848 to 4,412 students over the same period.

Central's spending in 2019-20 was 13.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
