Report: Raccoon School District spent $8,541 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Raccoon Consolidated School District 1 was down 9.2 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Marion County school district spent $9,411 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $8,541 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 234 to 246 students over the same period.

Raccoon's spending in 2019-20 was 41.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
