Report: Central School District spent $10,148 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Central School District 104 was up 7.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Saint Clair County school district spent $9,428 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,148 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 616 to 598 students over the same period.

Central's spending in 2019-20 was 30 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
