Report: Pearl City School District spent $12,341 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Pearl City Community Unit School District 200 was up 7 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Stephenson County school district spent $11,534 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $12,341 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 466 to 429 students over the same period.

Pearl City's spending in 2019-20 was 14.8 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
