Report: Pinckneyville School District spent $9,198 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Pinckneyville School District 50 was up 2.9 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Perry County school district spent $8,935 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,198 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 534 to 513 students over the same period.

Pinckneyville's spending in 2019-20 was 36.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
