Report: Freeburg School District spent $11,224 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Freeburg Community High School District 77 was down 6.6 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Saint Clair County school district spent $12,023 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,224 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 643 to 655 students over the same period.

Freeburg's spending in 2019-20 was 22.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
