Report: Plainfield School District spent $11,436 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Plainfield School District 202 was up 18.4 percent from five years ago, according to the Education Daily Wire analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Will County school district spent $9,657 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $11,436 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 27,877 to 26,022 students over the same period.

Plainfield's spending in 2019-20 was 21.1 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
