The Board of Regents has announced disciplinary actions involving the surrender of nine professional licenses and other disciplinary measures in 20 cases. The actions taken by the Board are specific to each case's misconduct. Additionally, two restoration petitions were addressed.
In the category of license surrenders, several professionals admitted to charges or did not contest allegations against them. Among them is Stefon Collymore, a massage therapist from White Plains, NY, who surrendered his license after admitting to charges of sexual abuse and forcible touching. Kenneth Joseph Figliozzi, another massage therapist from Baldwinsville, NY, also surrendered his license due to allegations of inappropriate physical contact with a client.
In mental health practice, Vickijo Campanaro-Cummings and Craig Nicholas Bullock both surrendered their licenses as licensed mental health counselors in Rochester, NY. They admitted to charges related to recordkeeping and boundary violations.
In nursing, Amberlynn Marie Calhoun from Fultonville, NY surrendered her license after admitting to having sexual contact with a student and being convicted of a criminal sexual act. Amanda L. Gould from Hamburg, NY also surrendered her license for failing to properly manage controlled substances.
Rajeshkannan Adaikalamuthu from Oshawa, Canada gave up his physical therapy license due to allegations of inappropriate conduct with a client. In public accountancy, Eric Eugene Williams and Henry John Armbruster both surrendered their licenses for not meeting continuing education requirements.
Other disciplinary actions include penalties such as suspensions and fines across various professions including architecture, engineering, dentistry, nursing, ophthalmic dispensing, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychology, public accountancy, and veterinary medicine.
Two restoration petitions were reviewed by the Board on June 10th. Jay Kirshner's pharmacist license was stayed pending completion of specific educational requirements and examinations before probationary terms are applied. Meredith Marie Knodel's dental hygienist license was restored after being surrendered in 2014.
