Governor Shapiro and transportation secretary to announce new state action for SEPTA safety

Governor Josh Shapiro and Pennsylvania Secretary of Transportation Mike Carroll are scheduled to make an announcement regarding new state measures to help fund safety improvements for SEPTA. The event will take place at SEPTA's Frazer Shop & Yard in Malvern, Chester County.

The announcement is expected to include details about how the Commonwealth will assist SEPTA in making key upgrades to its safety systems. In addition to Governor Shapiro and Secretary Carroll, other officials set to attend include Scott Sauer, General Manager of SEPTA; Marian Moskowitz, Chester County Commissioner and Vice Chair of SEPTA's Board; Senator Vincent Hughes of Pennsylvania’s 7th Senatorial District; and Representative Ed Neilson from the 174th House District.
