Officials from several Pennsylvania transportation and safety organizations will gather to promote safe driving during the summer travel season. The event, which is set for June 18 at 1:00 PM, aims to encourage motorists to adhere to traffic laws to ensure the safety of all road users.
The initiative is part of a statewide impaired driving enforcement campaign that began on Monday and will continue through July 6, coinciding with Fourth of July celebrations.
Key figures expected at the event include Mike Carroll, Secretary of PennDOT; Mark Compton, CEO of the PA Turnpike; Sgt. Logan Brouse, Communications Office Director for PSP; and Kelly Whitaker, Central Regional Coordinator for PA TIPP.
The gathering will take place at the PA Turnpike TIP Building located at 2850 Turnpike Industrial Drive in Middletown, PA. The event is scheduled to be held outside near the back of the main entrance parking lot but will move indoors if weather conditions are unfavorable.
Media personnel interested in covering the event are requested to RSVP by contacting morbanek@paturnpike.com with their details.
