The release of the Infinite Campus SIS Implementation Guide marks a significant step in North Dakota's transition to a new Student Information System (SIS) under the BRIDGE initiative. This guide aims to assist educators and administrators as they adapt to this enterprise solution, which is designed to enhance education data management across the state.
According to the announcement, "BRIDGE isn’t just a software change—it’s an enterprise solution designed to transform how we manage education data in North Dakota." The goal is to simplify processes so that educational staff can concentrate on ensuring students graduate with the necessary skills and knowledge for success.
The implementation timeline includes several key phases: data extraction and migration requests for proposals will be released soon, followed by preparation activities such as cleaning up existing data and inventorying current systems. The actual implementation begins in Fall 2025, with analysis and discovery in Winter 2025, training sessions in Spring 2026, and full deployment by Summer 2026. By Fall 2026, schools will start the new academic year with Infinite Campus fully operational.
An implementation team will support districts throughout this process. The team consists of various specialists including a Project Manager who oversees tasks and addresses any risks or issues; a Data Conversion Analyst responsible for transitioning data from legacy systems; a Business Consultant who guides change management; an SIS Training Specialist who ensures staff are well-prepared; and if applicable, a Premium Products Training Specialist for districts using additional products.
The initiative emphasizes that "with Infinite Campus, we’re streamlining the way education data is managed," allowing educators to focus on student success. For further inquiries or comments about the transition process, stakeholders are encouraged to contact bridge@nd.gov.
