Treasurer Stacy Garrity, alongside Senator Frank Farry, Senator Scott Hutchinson, and Representative Ryan Bizzarro, announced the distribution of a second round of Pennsylvania Money Match checks. These checks total over $9.2 million and have been sent to Pennsylvanians as part of an initiative to return unclaimed property automatically to its rightful owners. This program was unanimously approved by the General Assembly and signed into law by the Governor last year.

"It's exciting to see so many people getting money they didn't know they had," stated Treasurer Garrity. She emphasized the importance of cashing these checks, adding, "We want everyone to know this is a real program and this is real money. Every dollar we return to Pennsylvania families is money they can use to buy groceries, fill up their cars with gas, or pay their rent or mortgage. This money belongs to them, not the state."

The initiative aims to provide financial relief by ensuring that residents receive funds that are rightfully theirs without needing to navigate complex claims processes.
