Governor Josh Shapiro is set to participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony for JMB Gardens, a new affordable housing development in uptown Harrisburg. The event will also feature former NFL player LeSean McCoy, state and local leaders, developers, and community members.
JMB Gardens is a 41-unit project with an investment of $16.7 million, developed by Vice Capital, LLC. This firm is led by Harrisburg native LeSean McCoy. The development aims to provide safe and affordable housing options for families in Harrisburg and represents an effort toward neighborhood revitalization.
The Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency (PHFA) supported the project as part of the Shapiro Administration's goal to ensure more Pennsylvanians have access to affordable housing.
Scheduled attendees include Governor Josh Shapiro, LeSean McCoy of Vice Capital, LLC, PHFA Executive Director Robin Weissmann, Senator Patty Kim, Harrisburg Mayor Wanda Williams, and former PHFA Executive Director Brian Hudson.
The event will take place at JMB Gardens on North 6th Street in Harrisburg on June 24 at 10:00 AM. A live stream will be available online for those unable to attend in person.
Press members interested in covering the event must RSVP with their details via email.
