Governor Josh Shapiro recently attended an event at the Crane Clean Energy Center in Middletown, Pennsylvania. The center is one of 15 nuclear power plants operated by Constellation Energy, which is recognized as the largest producer of reliable, emissions-free energy in the United States. The company contributes approximately 10% of the nation's clean energy supply and serves a diverse range of customers including homes, businesses, and public sector entities across the country.
The event featured a number of speakers from various sectors. Governor Shapiro was joined by Joe Dominguez, CEO of Constellation Energy; Bobby Hollis, Vice President of Energy Cloud Operations & Innovation at Microsoft; Manu Asthana, CEO of PJM; Maria Korsnick, CEO of the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI); Senator Patty Kim; and Representative Tom Mehaffie.
The gathering highlighted the collaborative efforts between government officials, industry leaders, and community members to advance clean energy initiatives and support sustainable development in Pennsylvania and beyond.
